Japanese craft "SUITŌ" made from Urushi.

SUITŌ is inspired by the contours of a woman's body. The Zen spirit of connecting to the universe through more tactile means, like the sand in a landscape garden, is alive in the way the line ebbs and flows to echo the wood grain.

Through SUITŌ, go beyond the physical and into a state of meditative serenity, where flexible and creative ideas thrive.

IROHA is finished with "sabi-urushi," a base coat technique typically hidden under polishing layers. Enjoy the natural rough texture and the color palette exalting the dynamic life of leaves as they emerge, grow, and eventually decay.

※ Urushi lacquer is a sap extracted from the urushi tree and is a living material. Even after it is coated, dried, and hardened, it continues to breathe. As the urushi comes into contact with air and light, the color changes, usually becoming brighter, and hardens into a durable lacquerware. The continuous change is part of the beauty of owning a urushi lacquerware.
※ Lid is included with SIZE 152 (with silicone seal) and SIZE 110 (without silicone seal). SIZE 91 does not come with a lid.

After use, gently hand wash with lukewarm or cold water. Wipe dry with a soft cloth before storing in a well-ventilated place
Avoid scrubbers and polishers that might scratch the surface
The lid does not seal tightly so please be careful of spills when carrying them around (lid only included with 152 & 110 size)
Please avoid using boiling water. We recommend up to 80℃ / 176℉
Naturally made wooden products may slightly expand or shrink with differences in temperature and humidity
Avoid direct exposure to sunlight for a long time
